Moe's is a simple little beach BBQ shack that is part of a chain that was established in Colorado. Evidently it was once a rockin', crazy-ass blues bar/bbq pit. This one cannot claim the same atmosphere, although random pictures of blues artists on the wall hint at a place that could be way cooler. One thing that cannot be beat is the smoke smell you get once you are right at the door...its heaven. They do things simple here-Pork; witch is offered regular on a bun or the god-awful "Bama" style (also called "Memphis" style, or where ever people love cole slaw too much) which is cole slaw on top of pork, Chicken, Turkey, and Ribs. They have an assortment of sides and packages though that offer beans, mac'n cheese, chips, cornbread and such. The mac is homemade and the beans are cooked with pork and jalapenos. I've only had the pork here however. Its nice and tender with a unique sauce that has a lot of personality, but doesn't qualify as sweet or spicy, but more on the tangy side...but not really. You can also wash down your BBQ with any canned assortment of white trash/asshole frat boy beer; Budweiser, light, and lime, and Miller; at only $2.50 a piece! Overall this isn't a bad place to get a BBQ fix if your craving is bad enough.

I don't know that we can add more to what has already been said, but seriously, this place is amazing. We have been twice so far during this week long vacation to Orange Beach. We may yet make it a third. We had the sampler platter both times, plenty to feed 2 adults and 2 young kids. The meats were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The sauces were perfect. The sides were each just fantastic. We particularly loved the potato salad, the sweet potato salad, the carrot soufflé, and the baked beans. It's like you can taste the time and care put into each recipe. The best part, for our family, is that it is effortless to eat gluten-free here. All meats are gluten free and the sauces and most of the sides. You will not feel limited at all if you have gluten allergies/ intolerances. Our kids loved the sandy "backyard" seating area. They could roam around and dig in the sand and it just made the whole experience that much more pleasant for all of us. This place is not to be missed!!

Delicious BBQ!! Here's what we ordered: Bama style pulled pork sandwiches, chicken tenders, homemade chips, Mac and cheese, baked beans, cornbread, potato salad, sweet potato casserole...... There wasn't a bad thing!! It was absolutely the best food I've had in ages! My whole family loved it. We have a shrimp allergy and they were great with respect to that!

Outstanding service and food. Our waitress even put up with my dry humor. Had the Cuban sandwich which with the sauce was awesome. Great atmosphere especially for the younger crowd. Glad our friends brought us in. PS: take a picture with the "Blues Brothers" while you wait to be seated. Next time we're back in Ocala, we'll be back

Excellent! My husband and I ordered food to go. One of my top two favorites places as far as quality of food and friendly service so far. Casual dining at its best. We had the shrimp po'boy, pulled pork sandwich, chips, and Mac-n-cheese. All of of it was perfect. I would definitely go back, either to eat there or for takeout. * Returned a second time this week and dined in. Just as good the second time!!

Yelp helped us find this on our last night in Orange Beach and so grateful it did! Hubs wasn't all that hungry yet is working his way to the end of 12 wings as I type this. I finished up the pulled pork in short order. Both were excellent and we are both finicky about our BBQ. Sides (potato salad, cole slaw) were homemade and very tasty. BBQ sauce is excellent and lets the smoked meat shine. This will be a regular stop on our Orange Beach vacations from now on!

When my wife and I lived in Denver a few years back, our favorite BBQ spot was easily Moe's Original BBQ. Whether it was the location in Vail, the one with bowling and live music in Englewood, or the one in Denver itself, each location was visited multiple times. While on a recent vacation in Gulf Shores, I noticed a Moe's location not far from our rental house. My wife and I rode our bikes there one afternoon for lunch. Moe's in Orange Beach is not a big spot, though there are some extra tables outside. We found a few open tables upon our arrival, but those quickly filled as time went on. Just with the other locations we've been to, orders are placed at the counter and food is quickly delivered to your table. If the chalkboard menu on the wall is a bit intimidating, the do have printed menus that are easier to read. But basically it boils down to your choice of smoked pork, sausage, chicken, and turkey served either as a sandwich or on a platter. They also have fried catfish and shrimp, but the real star here is the BBQ. Just as I did many times before I ordered the pulled pork "bama style" with both BBQ and white sauce, slaw, and pickles ($5.75). I also had a side of baked beans and an amazing cornbread casserole ($1.50 each). The pork is always so tender and full of a great smoke flavor. But what separates Moe's from other joints are there always amazing southern sides. Do not skip out on the sides, trust me.

Recently Visited This Place While On A Family Trip And Yall Know I'm From Memphis And They Say We Have The Best BBQ. Well Let Me Be The First To Say They Don't Have BBQ Like This To Me In Memphis. I Had The Pulled Pork Sandwich "Bama" Style Which Came With A White Sauce, Coleslaw and Pickles. AMAZING! I Thought The Sandwich Was A Little Small But After Eating My Side It Was Perfect. I Had A Sides Of Greens and Baked Beans. Man I Just Want More Greens that was My Favorite Part. I Haven't Been To A BBQ Restaurant In Memphis That Has Greens As A Side!!! And They Were Cooked Perfectly. I have To Go Back. So When Are Yall Opening One In Memphis? Lol.

Best BBQ of my life! Fast service and amazing food. Better than some Memphis in May grand champions I've had. Place was packed on a Wednesday evening so go early or do take out. We had the sampler platter and it fed me, my preggo wife and 2 small boys. We are sooooo fulllll. Must. EAT. HERE.

The food here is delicious!! It comes out fast and is full of flavor. It has other options if you aren't a big BBQ eater like me. I got the fried catfish and was not disappointed. Will be back

Great place! The wife and I got the sampler platter and it was very good! Cornbread was so good and loved the Mac n cheese balls. Only thing I did not care for was the white sauce. I dot like mayo and it's a BBQ sauce with mayo and they put it on top which ruined two items for me. BBQ sauce is tangy. Wish they had more options for flavors of BBQ sauce. Staff was awesome and we will definitely be back!

Excellent, attentive service and spot on food. There are plenty of "bbq" joints that sell overcooked, dry, bland bbq but NOT Moes. The meat is cooked perfect, with the right amount of seasonings, and left with plenty of juices to keep it from seeming as if you are eating a bucket of saw dust. The pulled pork sandwich was on point, and the fried shrimp were the best i have ever had in a restaurant (seasoned well and not bland). Would give 5 stars if the cocktails were decently sized. They are smalllllllll, and arent very cheap unfortunately. Overall, definitely recommend.

  • Corinne P.

Was good food, not the best bbq ever. LOVED the Mac n'cheese and homemade chips. Small, so come at a not so crowded time- we came during lunch rush and had to wait for people to leave so we could get a table.

From the road, this may seem like a hole in the wall. However, food is great and service impeccable. Reminds me of good ole' down his new southern BBQ shacks in Deep South rural areas. Decent menu that should make most people happy. Though they have multiple locations, the restaurant does not have any cooperate feel at all. Seating inside is somewhat limited with additional seating outside in back. I was not disappointed in any way.

Stayed in Orange Beach a week for family vacation. Ate out once a day and the meal at Moe's was by far the best meal we had in Orange Beach. Coincidentally it was also our least expensive meal, which was nice. We (family of four, 2 adults, 2 kids) shared the sampler platter. It was more than enough food. Every single meat and side was delicious. So glad we came here on our last night in town. Best place!!!

Love their pulled pork sandwich "bama style." Tried the wings and they were great, but my BF wasn't 100% sold on their ribs. Said he loved the flavor but would have preferred they be more tender. I always choose sides off the daily specials blackboard and have yet to be disappointed. Great deals on drinks up there too. Not the place you go for the ambiance, though I always choose to dine in anyway. Staff is great, always friendly and food comes out quick and hot.

Good service, good food, a bit dry and would have loved a bit more beer selection.. O we'll!

I never really cared much for wings, but moes dry rub wings, no sauce, are GREAT. Smoked then fried, not battered, just fried to make the skin crisp. It comes with a white BBQ sauce, which at first thought , was a nasty thought. Tried it on the wings and it is awesome. Pulled pork sandwich is loaded with pork. Moist with just the right amount of smoke. No fancy Decore here, but the food is good at a reasonable price, so to me, Decore does not matter. Wife tried the Fried Chicken. Which is special of the day on Sundays . She said it was the best she ever had. A good thing to try, they have a sampler platter good for 2-3 people with some of everything. Was more than enough for the two of us... The corn bread is sweet with a hint of jalapeño they put, I guess, on a griddle to lightly toast the outside Will make MOE's a stop each time we are in Orange Beach

Best barbecue I've EVER HAD!!! A friend told us how good it was so a we tried it for lunch. Oh my goodness!!! If you're considering Moe's you won't be sorry. We've had the pork, chicken, and turkey sandwiches. The baked beans are amazing. They also have a great side on certain days with collards and peas. And don't miss the banana pudding!! Seriously. Best. Barbecue. Ever.

My first BBQ experience. I enjoyed it. The place was cluttered in an eclectic sort of way that I found endearing. Prices were good for the amount of food we received.I would eat here again.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. The only thing that could be improved on is having more than once sauce. The girls at the counter are super nice!

This place has really good food. We showed up around 3 pm and they were not that busy which was good for us cause we weren't looks for a packed crowded house . We got the double wide with pork and mac n cheese and cole slaw. Food was super good . We will def be coming back to this place . Inside was clean and vibe was laid back.

I really enjoyed my ribs and my wife enjoyed her pulled pork. The side dishes were all homemade and delicious. We never had collard greens until we visited Moes and they were great. Moes is a little hole in the wall barbecue shack with delicious food. If you have a taste for BBQ I would definitely recommend Moes.

Could see potential to be a good place but wasn't impressed with the service and a few other things, but will give them another shot one day. I called in my order hoping to just run in and grab it since I had 3 kids with me. I had to wait behind a line of people ordering food and watch them tell people twice to please wait while they caught up with orders before they would start taking more orders. So needless to say my chips were soggy and all the food was cold by the time I got it.

Moe's knows BBQ! Best we've had in a long while. We ordered a virtual smorgasbord of items and ALL of it was top notch! #1 spot for BBQ on the Gulf Coast!

  • Shea G.

This place is awesome. Decor is very eclectic and the music is loud. The Pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, smoked turkey, beans, Mac and cheese, red beans and rice, and finally, the cornbread all were damn good. The regular Sauce has just enough vinegar and heat, and the white sauce is a good touch to poultry. For the reviewers that complained about running out of what they wanted, it's a BBQ restaurant, it takes a long time to smoke good meat. Definitely eat here if you are in the area.

We have been going to Orange Beach for a few years. We've even been to the Dairy Queen that is right next to Moe's, but never even noticed Moe's! I am so glad we discovered it. We will definitely be back. The pulled pork was fantastic, as were the baked beans. The mac-n-cheese was good. I just can't say enough about the taste of the meat. Just awesome!

Thanks to internet reviews, we were able to enjoy scrumptious BBQ at Moe's. The Friday special Mahi Mahi is incredible, smoked chicken perfectly seasoned and house fries delicious. Great value for money and friendly workers. Check out their FB page for daily specials.

I travel the whole country for work and found some of the best food at this place in Alabama. I had a combo platter with ribs and catfish. It was phenomenal! A friend that went with me had the pulled pork and chicken and was similarly pleased.

Some of the best bbq I have had. We had the pulled pork plate and the pork nachos and both were delicious.

  • Amy P.

I love great Texas bbq. I wanted to try to some Alabama bbq. We got the sampler platter and it gave us the opportunity to try a little of all of what they do. Some of the best pulled pork I've ever had. The turkey was decent. The ribs were delicious. The wings were a bit spicy for me. The chicken was outstanding. My favorite thing was the cornbread. Baked beans were good and the potato salad. I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw too much vinegar for me but my mom loved it. The inside of the restaurant is tiny and the a/c wasn't working. On one of the tables inside they had hamburger buns just sitting on the table. I have no idea what that was about. Thankfully I never saw them use them. The outside out back was really neat but I was under the impression you ordered inside then would have to carry it all out there. It was not being utilized when I was there.

We are visiting Orange Beach and after a long road trip, were looking for somewhere quick and delicious for dinner. This was perfect! Great selection and great price. Only had to wait 5 minutes after ordering to receive our food and everything was very impressive! There were no complaints from anyone in our group. We will definitely be returning on future vacations!

I could eat this until the day I die. The sampler platter is the way to go! Loved everything! Baked beans were great, and the sweet corn bread was delicious! I'm from Michigan but I'll be back just for this BBQ!!!

Fun atmosphere, however I can only rate the experience As we didn't get to eat here. I'll explain why: I gave my husband a list of what everyone wanted and he was going to order and bring it to us. ( this is one of those places that you order up front then bring the food to your seat if you want to eat there). We were sitting in the back outdoor area of the restaurant where they have toys and games in the sand. My husband finally got to the front of the line and I guess they ran out of pulled pork. So he had to leave the line as asked what we wanted instead as 2 of our orders were pulled pork. Then he went back in and had to get in the back of the line. He finally got to the front again and went to order but this time they were also out of ribs. The other 3 people in our party wanted ribs. So we left as no one would have gotten what they wanted. We will however try back a different day this week and update the post. I'm not sure if we just were unlucky or this happens often? Update- we tried again a day later and got our food, so I changed the rating from a 2 to a 3. I would have given them a 4 had we had not had the experience the night before. I would recommend the pulled pork sandwich "Bama style" with the baked beans and cole slaw as a side. The chicken wings were also a hit. My pulled chicken sandwich had no bbq sauce on it. We sat outside so I had to walk back in and fight through the crowds to get some. I also had to go get utensils, paper towels and other sauces. They had live music outside which was great, but only 2 of the 10 or so tables were equipped to have people eat dinner at them. The rest were just picnic tables. The garbage cans were overflowing, cigarette butts in the sand area in the back and I didn't see one staff person except behind the counter the entire 2 hours we were there. There definitely should have been someone walking around taking out the garbage and wiping off tables or picking up garbage that was unintentionally or intentionally dropped as people were done in their spots. All in all, pretty good food, fun atmosphere but the place was very dirty.

Moe's was a surprising find on our Orange Beach vacation. We just had sandwiches and sides which were very good, but the thing we enjoyed most was the live music out in the backyard.

Moe knows BBQ! Our family of 3 shared the sampler platter and it was Fantastic! The pulled pork melted in your mouth, the chicken and turkey were super tender! My daughter and hubby loved the ribs and the sausage was amazing! Sides were pretty good too! Moe's is a must for great BBQ!

    (5)
  • Michele G.

Great BBQ! You would never know its a chain. The pulled pork was smokey and the BBQ sauce didn't overpower. I usually like my sauce on the spicy side, but Moe's has just a hint and I liked it. The potato salad was ice cold and tasty. Not at all mayonnaisey and the marinated cole slaw was fresh and tasty. No mayo. My first taste of banana pudding and it was yummy. This isn't your instant boxed stuff. It tastes of real bananas and I'm pretty sure I detected some nutmeg. A true southern treat. Yummy! The service is friendly too. If you want tasty BBQ at a reasonable price, come here.

  • Tatyanna S.

The sampler platter was the most amazing BBQ I've ever had. I would highly recommend the chicken wings and the ribs. The Mac and cheese was good, however the potato salad was incredible. The beans weren't as sweet as I'm used to eating. Definitely get the sweet tea as well!! The turkey was nothing to brag about. I will definitely be back for more wings.

We were in the search of a quick bite for lunch after sitting on the beach and decided on this place because it was across the street. I would of never noticed this place if we did not decide to walk and I am so glad we did!!! My husband and I ordered the sampler and loved it!!! I fell in love with the smoked wings & smoked sausage!!! There was so much food and I felt so guilty leaving food on my plate it was that good! My husband and I have decided this will be our regular stop when ever we come to the beach weather we stay in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores or Ft. Morgan its well worth the drive.

Go to Moes... Eat, enjoy, repeat. Pulled pork makes the world a better place. Comfy, casual and a nice outdoor area. Family friendly, clean and fairly priced. Nice folks that know "smoke" Recommended-many happy returns.

Really good place to eat. We loved the BBQ of course and all the fixins. We will certainly be back next time we visit Gulf Shores/Orange Beach. Great service as well.

So I was staying across the street at the Hampton and decided to give this place a shot. So as I walked in I was met with an amazing aroma so I was stoked making my purchase. I was followed in by a large family and within 5 minutes 30 additional patrons ( I kid you not). So as I sat there waiting people were coming and going and I finally lost patience and approached the counter to get the attention of the young lady who took my Togo order. She was at first puzzled why I was still there followed by that OH @&$! moment when she realized they screwed up. They had either given my food to someone else or my order got lost in flood of customers that they were swamped with. I told them what my order was again as they scrambled to get me taken care of, but unfortunately I still walked out of there with the wrong food, but after waiting so long I just wanted to get out of there and back to my hotel room. So why am I giving them 4 stars you ask? Because the food was so damn good that's why! Even though it took forever and I got the wrong food it was incredible. The meat on the ribs just peeled right off the bone and it's smokey flavor was fantastic. The cornbread, beans, and slaw were each mouthwatering. The sauce was spot on and while I didn't get to try the white sauce I will when I return. Hopefully with better service.

Had been on road driving for three days and stopped in Gulf Shores for cpl days to see sister. She lives in area and her work orders lunch from there often. She kept saying how good it was, and I was in mood for some good BBQ, so had to give t a try. The smell walking up to place is amazing. The food was excellent and staff was sure friendly. They had full rack of ribs for $10, and they were some of the best and most tender ribs we have ever had. Try this place if you like simple and fantastic BBQ.

  • Stephanie V.

Wonderful! The ribs fall off the bone and the potato salad is AWESOME! Pulled pork is not to go unmentioned.... It was fabulous as well!

    (4)
  • Andy D.

The smoked turkey sandwich was very satisfying, what with the heaping amount of deliciously smoked turkey on a soft warm bun. The baked beans were also very good, with a little bit of heat on the back end. The marinated slaw, eeeehhhh not so great. So, what makes this place a three star and not a four, as I'm sure the BBQ they make from the ribs, to the chicken, is excellent. Basically, the place is filthy! Tea lid containers are off, you just can feel the grime! I know I'm in a BBQ joint and grime is expected. But, this was just a little too much!

Best BBQ on the island. I can't think of many BBQ place that I have ever went to where the food was as good as it is here. You will definitely enjoy the food. Staff is awesome.

About 6 years ago, my uncle found this place when he was in the mood for BBQ and driving around looking for a place. He settled his eyes upon Moe's, and decided to stop in. Since then, my family and I have gone to Moe's every year on our family vacation because it is the. Best. BBQ. Ever! I am in love with the pulled pork sandwich, mac'n'cheese, and banana pudding. It's my staple! The staff is great, the food is great, and while the place isn't as nice as I'd like it to be, it's got that BBQ joint atmosphere, which adds to it, I think.

We ate here while on vacation. It was the recommendation of a friend that brought us here. During our 4 day stay in Orange Beach, we ate here twice. My teenage boys loved it. I did too! Between us we had chicken wings and both chicken and pork sandwiches. The sauce they use is amazing. My only bummer about the meal was french fries aren't offered as a side. I could eat my weight in french fries. Friendly service. Worth checking out.

Had the ribs an wings combo with beans and hash brown casserole. Some of the best BBQ I have had in a long time. My sister from MA. was really impressed. Ribs were cooks perfectly and the wings had great flavor. Service was excellent. Staff asked if this was our first visit and walked as through the menu. If you get tired of seafood I would highly recommend Moe's.

Awesome BBQ and very cool atmosphere. I got a pound of the pulled pork and a rack of ribs. The pulled pork is smokey goodness and the ribs literally melted in mouth. The only thing left were clean bones with no leftover meat because it falls off the bone. The Cajun cheese grits were amazing as well.

One of my fav BBQ places. Every time we are in OBA a sampler plate with extra wings is a must. Yum!

We almost screwed up and ate at Dairy Queen. Luckily we spotted Moes in the rear view and went there instead. Good service, reasonable price, consistent quality and a good beer selection. I've been to about four different moes locations and have liked them all. The ability to maintain consistency and quality across their footprint shows that the company has a mission and is following their plan. I will keep coming back.

Moe's Original BBQ - Yes yes yes nom nom nom Located off the main beach road in Orange Beach behind some seafood restaurant. It is to the left and off the lot of a nearby Dairy Queen. Getting in was direct but we had to take a couple turns to snake back to this place. Parking didn't seem to be ample in this gravel lot but we were able to park when we arrived. Arrival: ~1:00 PM My wife and I arrived during what I would think the end of lunch hour would be. There were mostly locals in the place. The inside dining room was not large. There were 5 tables to seat four people, and 2 tables to seat six. There were a couple high chairs for kids. There was plenty of seating outside with 2 picnic tables on the patio and 13 umbrella'd picnic tables out back in their fenced off back lot. My wife and I ordered the Sampler Platter, to feed three, and split some of it. The meal was listed to consist of: ¼ Pork ¼ Chicken ¼ Turkey 3 ribs 4 wings 2 cornbread 2 drinks 3 sides for ~27 dollars out the door. As commentary on BBQ, my wife and I have discovered that BBQ places produce polar responses for us. We typically dislike most of the places we try, there's little middle ground. Right off the rip my wife discovered that they were out of sweet tea, typically not a good sign. My wife told the girl at the counter while I was detailing what all came with the meal on the receipt. By the time I had finished writing it all down the sweet tea had been replenished and our meal was on the table hot and made to order. 5 stars for customer service. I do not really take to pulled pork. That stated, this offering was good and their sauce was, to me, a nice mix of sweet and vinegar. Tasty. My wife agrees that it was good. The only complaint from my wife is that we could have used some buns, or plain bread, to make a sandwich with. The chicken was a thigh and leg with skin and on the bone. It was amazing. I don't even think I added any sauce to the leg I had. I don't usually go for chicken when I have BBQ but I would eat this again anytime. It was very tender and fell apart as I went to gnaw at its smoky goodness. The turkey was a bit of a surprise. It was cut like brisket slices and treated with the red and white BBQ sauce. I've found that BBQ smoked turkey has been dry and unenjoyable in the past. Moe's nails this with moist cuts that are tasty. The pork ribs produced the most expectation of the meal for me. I don't often eat pork and I love pork ribs that are done well. Moe's did not disappoint. The small rib I had was fall off the bone smoky perfection that had just a small dash of their sauce to compliment the flavor. These bites of BBQ were worth the price of admission. The BBQ wings were the surprise of the meal. The wing and leg I had were well smoked and prepared with a hint of tangy spice that crept on you as an after-burn. These wings were great! My wife discovered White BBQ sauce for the first time in her life when she convinced me to add it to the wings. I liked them and so did she. The cornbread was excellent. It was prepared to be a bit denser and shaped like a piece of Texas toast. It looked to be grilled on one side like Texas toast as well. Good stuff. My wife and I had 3 or 4 cups of the sweet tea each. It was superb. The potato salad was made from well prepared new potatoes. It had a good mix of onion and pickle bits with the other sauces. This was a four star preparation of potato salad if you can handle the onion. Baked beans are a side that is a staple at BBQ places that can either be done well or so poorly that you swear them off forever. These were honey sweet and acceptable and worked well as a foil to the smokiness of the rest of the meal. I was unable to tell if these were out of a can or not. The macaroni and cheese was better than most BBQ places that attempt to make it, but not stellar. It was made with real cheese and not a cheese sauce so I'm positive in my sentiment about it. I think this side is difficult to do very well and Moe's makes a good attempt at it. Most people might think it's amazing. Overall we loved this place and if we didn't have so much food left over to eat in the next few days we'd visit again before we left. If you want some good BBQ while you are at the beach, come here and you shouldn't be disappointed. The place is now painted red so the PICs posted don't match.

We love Moe's BBQ- it is always tasty and fresh! Order your sandwich "Bama Style" and be sure to indulge in some of their "Southern Sides" (they even brought my son his favorite side when it wasn't on the menu that day...red beans and rice. Our 8 year old is their #1 fan!). The owners and staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to appreciate your business.

Excellent. The food was great and service was friendly. It was our first time here and the gal behind the counter was happy to go over the menu. The pulled pork was delicious and the potato salad was the best I've had.

Wonderful food and very friendly and accommodating staff. The white sauce and the BBQ sauce were delicious. It was rainy the evening we dined, but it looked like they had a really fun "Back Yard" for outdoor dining. Prices were great and lots of variety on the menu. Family friendly!

This was a great family place! The BBQ chicken sandwich was yummy! And the sweet potato fries were great! The kids loved playing in the sand after dinner!

Ate here on vacation, BBQ sandwiches were great! We ate outside in the back, the kids played in the sand and cornhole. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the price and food. The sweet potatoes fries are great, and so was the rice and beans.

A bit hard to find..especially in the dark. Look for the DQ and the liquor store..but definitely worth the search. The server (I suspect the owner) was very helpful and friendly. The food was VERY VERY good. We couldn't decide if it was better than Memphis BBQ...yet the fact that we were debating it says something. Very reasonably priced. Just a great experience. Hope to get back before we leave Orange Beach.

Don't be fooled by the small shack like appearance. This is a great place for some good food. Great smokey flavor and tender meats at a great price. Just make sure you get there early because they were out of pork by the time we got there about an hour before close. The wings are fantastic. Dip them in the white sauce for some of the best wings you have ever had.

For the price it is reasonable and the BBQ I had was nicely moist. The platter with two meats (turkey n pork) and two sides is $11.50 I think. A good amount of meat, decent sauce and so so sides. The sides were pretty basic except for the beans which were good, mac n cheese-just very ok and I tried the twice baked potato casserole (too old to be served) and the free pudding coupon. All in all I would order the meat and make my own sides except maybe the beans. If you want food to take to the beach or your condo, this is a good choice,

This place is a must! I have tried the majority of the menu and have not been disappointed once. I fed my family of 5 two days in a row for less than $40 each day and they want it again tomorrow! Great place, great food and great prices, I wish it was closer to Michigan.

The Bama style pulled pork sandwich was all I hoped for! I came to Alabama on spring break and besides wanting to get a little R&R, wanted to find the best local BBQ I could find. I FOUND IT AT MOE'S. I loves their signature sauce so much I bought a pint to go. I hope to have anOfhwe one before I leave.

Three adults shared the Sampler Platter for $25. It was steal! Wings were the best we have ever had! The smoked turkey is amazing. The sides were plentiful. The ribs fall off the bone. It's a little set back from the street so it's seems to get overlooked. Our food was ready in less than five minutes. We will be back!

I was visiting a friend in the area and we were recommended to try this place. I didn't realize it's a chain, but not to worry, the food is great. Didn't feel at all like a chain restaurant. The service was friendly and helpful. I had the chicken wings, both buffalo and garlic. Both were tasty. Both smokey and delicious with a hint of smoky sweetness. Tried a bite of the turkey, which I was surprised I enjoyed. I'm not a huge turkey fan as it's usually too dry for me, but this was just moist enough to be good. Went back the next day for lunch it was so good and on the staff recommendation tried the ribs, which were delicious. St. Louis style. The sides were delicious too. I had the marinated slaw which was delicious, Mac & cheese which lived up to its name, and skillet corn (this is a rotating side so it's not always served). The corn was the best - corn mixed with sausage and some vegies. I'm glad I don't live in the area, this place would get addictive!

I had the pulled pork with the potato salad and baked beans. The pork was ok, not a fan of the sauce. It was too sweet for my tastes. Same goes for the beans, too sweet. I was surprised that they didn't offer beef brisket, usually a staple at BBQ joints.

The atmosphere was laid back. The place is hidden behind a liquor store so you have to pay attention for the sign. I got the pulled pork, coleslaw, beans, and cornbread. Everything was very good! My sister got the mac n cheese as a side but didn't really like it. Great little BBQ place!

Moe's BBQ had great ribs and pulled pork. The setting is not glamorous but the food was outstanding. I would recommend for a relaxed lunch.

Awesome pulled pork sandwich with the slaw mixed in! Great corn bread, mac&cheese and wings too. Wings have a great smoky flavor - not too much heat. Love me some Moe's!

The food was delicious! We especially enjoyed the ribs, which were nice and smoky, and the baked beans, which were peppery. We would definitely go back!

Pulled pork was good and the ribs were very tender. Cole Slaw was loaded with vinegar but I liked it. It is not Hill Country Texas BBQ and its not Germantown Commissary either but if you are on the beach and tired of seafood its hard to beat. We did take out but the inside of the place had several tables and football on the tv. I'll be back again.

Pulled pork was excellent, with good smoke and hint of apple cider. Served the way it should be, with the sauce ON THE SIDE. The sides were a let down, mac-n-cheese,potato salad, banana pudding, being not bad, just nothing special. We went late in the day, and missed out on ribs and chicken. Will be returning hoping to get some ribs.

1st visit to this branch. Loved it. Loved the staff. Got the pork sandwich Bama style (w/ slaw), and it was so tasty. Place is a bit smaller than the location in Huntsville, but the food was just as good. Great sauce too.

Stopped in today for lunch with a group of 30 and they had us in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. The food was good, not necessarily the best smoked meat I have had, but I was so impressed with the speed. It just didn't matter. The cole slaw was a sweet vinagar marinated slaw and was one of the best I have ever had. I had the pulled pork and was great, just would have like a little bit more smoke flaver and less BBQ. They have their own sauce and the sauce was great, as well.
